It’s not uncommon for parent support to tail off from year 10 in some schools and colleges so to have this number attend is extremely encouraging. Attended by staff, parents, carers and governors it was a real family affair and the perfect opportunity for networking. As well as enjoying the magnificent spread guests were invited to sign up for real classroom experiences in the same subjects as our students. In the main workshop this meant that dads were able to try their hand at engineering in wood. For the less adventurous a series of classroom tours were also available.
With support like this from staff, parents and Directors our LDE UTC community will grow from strength to strength. These events will impact positively on improving communication with all stakeholders thus leading to our shared goal which is to improve our learners outcomes and their life experiences.
