Students hard work pays off!

Ismail Khalil

Following the exciting news that one of our pupils has gained an apprenticeship with Rolls Royce this year, Year 13 student Ismail Khalil is also celebrating this week. Ismail has just received an unconditional offer from University of Greenwich to study for a BA in Architecture from 1st September 2018. After submitting his application through ACAS and demonstrating what was clear to everyone that knows him at LDE, that his hard work studying The Built Environment has eventually lead him one step closer to his dream; a career in architecture. Following his work placement last year in a local architectural practise he learnt to use AutoCad and has since taught the programme to fellow students. Citing Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster as his favourite architects and the Burj Khalifa as his favourite building, there’s no doubting where he has his sights set. Well done Ismail.
