Following a three week work experience opportunity with RED Engineering, our alumnus Parviz has gone to achieve an level 6apprenticeship with the company in Commissioning.
On results day, we had the chance to catch up with Parvis as he prepares to start his new role.
Reflecting on this fantastic achievement, Parvis shares, "Although the apprenticeship route was one I never considered before joining college, thanks to getting work experience through Janice and learning about apprenticeships during L4L sessions, I was able to expand my horizons to the benefits of going pursuing this pathway."
At LDE, we prepare our learners for more than passing a grade. We want to mould young people to have significant impacts both in their chosen industry and in society. Speaking on employer led learning at the college, Parvis shares, "Working with TVL for an Employer Led Project is a notable example of positive experiences with employers. This work we did for this project was also used for our coursework and, throughout the project, we constantly got feedback and tips to improve. This prepared me for life in industry and the pressure of working to a deadline."
We are so proud of Parvis for understanding and taking advantage of the amazing opportunities at the college. We look forward to his continued success.
"If it wasn’t for Janice’s support, I don’t feel like I’ll be where I am right now with this amazing opportunity. I am forever grateful to her and LDE," Parvis.
