Year 10 Maths Marvels Shine at AMSP Maths Feast

In a remarkable showcase of talent and teamwork, two teams of year 10 learners took part in the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) Maths Feast competition. This event, known for its challenging and diverse mathematical buffet, put our learners' problem-solving skills, mathematical knowledge, and team collaboration to the test.

"The Maths Feast is more than just a day of intellectual challenge; it's a profound opportunity for our young mathematicians to explore complex problems in an innovative and dynamic environment," shared Faeqa, teacher of mathematics.

This competition transcends the confines of conventional learning, pushing learners to engage deeply with mathematics and to discover the joy in tackling intricate challenges. Participants particularly relished the teamwork aspect and the variety of puzzles offered, with the origami round capturing many hearts. This exercise in mathematical precision and artistic flair showcased the competition's unique approach to making mathematics both fun and thought-provoking. "Exploring maths through origami was a fun experience; it's incredible to see how our maths translates to something creative," shared a participating learner, encapsulating the spirit of discovery that the Maths Feast promotes.

We are grateful to the AMSP for organising an event that so beautifully marries challenge with enjoyment, fostering a nurturing space for creativity, teamwork, and mathematical exploration.
