Our year 9 computing learners developed their python coding skills with the help of Amazon Turing Lab. Through this exciting online programme, learners learned foundational coding concepts such as variable, function, subprogram, sequence and data type. They also familiarised themselves with the syntax of Python and engaged in problem-solving activities using python.
Python is a computer programming language often used to build websites and software, automate tasks, and analyse data. Python is a general-purpose language, not specialized for any specific problems, and used to create various programmes.
The assignments crafted by the Amazon Turing Lab cover a wide range of settings and scenarios which showcase the importance of programming across various industries. Teacher of computer science George shares, “After introducing learners to the basics of python, the Amazon Turing lab is the best platform for meaningful practice as the tasks that learners undertake are relevant to the curriculum and in future computing careers.”
Thanks to Amazon for working with our learners to develop their python skills.
