As a part of our year 9 projects carousel, our year 9s have been tasked to work in groups to come up with and present a technology idea to solve a problem in one of the following areas: Health, Sustainability, Education, Equality and inclusivity. This extended project aims to incorporate a range of STEM and soft skills with the main focus of understanding the application of technology to solve a problem whilst encouraging innovative thinking.
To support and inspire our learners with this project, we visited Samsung KX headquarters where they enjoyed a tour of the latest technology innovations and were free to try them out.
Following this trip, learners were visitors by employers from Morgan Stanley, where they had the opportunity to pitch their innovative technology solutions. These teams conceptualised remarkable innovations and the opportunity to present their ideas to Morgan Stanley professionals meant they received valuable feedback on how to improve and realise these ideas.
Thanks to this project, learners had the freedom to innovate, work in teams, learn about howe technology can impact various areas of life and develop presentation skills.
