In preparation for GCSE English Literature paper one, our year 10 learners enjoyed a virtual lesson exploring Macbeth.
This virtual session was facilitated by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), who work with thousands of young people and teachers to help convey the power of Shakespeare's language in their schools.
Through this session, our learners could experience the action jumping off of the page and truly get to grips with key scenes in the play. As Shakespeare’s Macbeth was written to be performed, only so much can be gained from simply reading the text. Thanks to RSC, our learners could grapple with this classic tragedy in the way it was intended which further supported their appreciation of Shakespeare's intentions.
Thanks to RSC for sharing their expertise and passion for Shakespeare with our learners.
