Our year 12 Business learners recently had the opportunity to visit BT Group in London for a Get Work Ready event where they enjoyed a range of real-world-inspired activities and challenges to get them thinking about working in digital, data and tech roles. As well as helping learners to prepare for their next steps after college, this experience was particularly relevant to Unit 8 of the Business and Enterprise course - recruitment and selection.  

The day was filled with a variety of engaging activities designed to foster teamwork, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and confidence-building skills. As a tech company, BT Group also provided insights into how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) play a crucial role in industries within the ever-evolving digital landscape. 

The vocational activities offered on this day were truly invaluable. Learners had the chance to express themselves, build confidence, and understand the practical application of skills from the Business Enterprise curriculum in an industry context.
